The Chicago White Sox lost two long-time employees of their club already this season and have started to honour their memory by wearing memorial patches.
The double diamond patches pay tribute to Bill “Moose” Skowron, with the initials “BMS”, and Kevin Hickey with his nickname “HIC MAN”. The two patches are lined up vertically and both worn on their right sleeve.

Bill “Moose” Skowron, a Chicago native and former White Sox first baseman had been the club’s community relations representative for the past 13 seasons. He died in April after a battle with lung cancer at the age of 81.
Kevin Hickey, a former pitcher for the team in the 1980s and the team’s batting practice pitcher since the 2003 season was found unresponsive in his hotel room in early April. He died in hospital two weeks ago at 56 years of age.
The two memorial patches on the black alternate jersey - the top patch is easy to see on the right sleeve, the bottom patch (without white outline) is almost invisible and looks like no more than a manufacturers logo
We haven’t seen the patch on the road jerseys yet, but on the black alternates only the Kevin Hickey patch has a white outline around the diamond. The Moose Skowron patch is lost without an outline, at this point it’s just a black patch on a black jersey.

How many times has this team worn arm bands or uniform numbers of a deceased former player in place of an arm band? So it's not like he was forgotten to the team.
