Another case of a merchandise site jumping the gun, a ad network banner courtesy FANATICS.com has been touting the LA Kings as 2012 Stanley Cup champions all day.
The banner ad which was sent in to me by a few dozen viewers (thanks to all of you) was shown in rotation on several websites including right here on SportsLogos.Net News.
The ad shows three different Stanley Cup champion t-shirt designs, we’re not sure which of them (or if any) are the official locker room edition but I’m going to guess it’s the top one shown in the image below:
The LA Kings have a chance to win the Cup for reals tonight when they host the New Jersey Devils, puck drop is at 8pm ET.
