The Russian National Hockey Team has unveiled new uniforms as the result of a vote amongst fans on social media and former players.
Incorporating more elements of the Russian flag into it’s design, the new uniform also moves the player name back above the number and returns the “RUSSIA” script to the front of the jersey.

Comparing the Russian National Team uniforms from 2011-12 to the new 2012-13 set
The uniforms are those that are worn in the various European tournaments held in between the World Championships and the World Juniors, the Russian team wears a different uniform design for those two tournaments.

Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 15:10The previous one is an eyesore. The new one still has too many stripes for my taste, but it is a huge improvement. When will national hockey teams discover the throwback jersey? It should be possible to design a nice retroshirt without the CCCP on the front.
