Orlando Magic Unveil Anniversary Logo

Written By:  •  Thursday, April 18, 2013

The Orlando Magic unveiled the logo they’ll be using to celebrate their 25th anniversary season next year.

It includes a subtle nod to their inaugural season jerseys, the white pinstripes on black as well as incorporating their current primary logo.

Orlando’s inaugural season uniforms are unveiled in 1989, the white pinstripes on black in the 25th anniversary logo are a tribute to this jersey.

“This new look provides us an opportunity to reflect on where we’ve been and look forward to where we are headed.  Our silver season logo signifies the history we are creating each day—every game, every play, every moment really is history in the making.” – Orlando Magic CEO Alex Martins

Those black jerseys were really the bomb! Penny and Shaq! Decent logo, but a bit bland, Why not something more with the colour silver and why not the Orlando Magic font of 25 years ago with all those funky stars for the letter A in the top half of the logo?

Those black jerseys were pretty sweet.

BTW, I hate the current Magic wordmark/primary logo. It looks so thrown together and boring.

  • That’s a well-done anniversary logo and I can’t wait to see those sweet throwbacks next season!
