Dallas Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen will have a new mask for the 2013-14 season which features the new Stars logo.
Lehtonen reportedly specifically requested the new team logos be included on the sides of the mask designed by Finnish artist (and former goaltender) Joni ‘Bona’ Hallikainen.
According to InGoal Magazine:
Lehtonen “gave Hallikainen some specific instructions about the design, requesting the new Stars logo on the sides, the graphic design on the top of the mask and the longhorn on the chin. Like any great artist, Bona took the suggestions and ran with them, creating a clean, bold look that will look fantastic with the Stars new uniforms.”
We concur.
