The Chicago Cubs had all sorts of new jerseys for 2014 out on display at their annual Cubs fan convention earlier today, and thanks to friend-of-the-site Matthew Robins (@BupsJones) we’ve got pics of all the new looks! Thanks Matt!
First up, the big one, the new road alternate jersey which we had heard about back in November, has finally made it’s first public appearance. As we described back then it’s grey with “CUBS” across the front in straight, no nonsense block lettering, looks a lot like the Cubs road uniforms of the 1920s:

Also, as part of their celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of their home stadium, Wrigley Field, the Chicago Cubs will be wearing several different throwback uniforms throughout the 2014 season. It has been reported previously that the club will wear 10 different throwbacks, one for each decade of Cubs baseball at Wrigley Field… oooh I can’t wait for that 2000s throwback game!
Photos below show the jerseys the 2014 players will wear (front and back, where available) along with a photo showing the actual uniform from back in the day so you can compare the accuracy for yourself…
