LA Kings Unveil Stadium Series Uniform, White Pants!

LA KIngs 2015 Stadium Series Uniform

The Los Angeles Kings will take to the ice at Levi’s Stadium next February wearing white pants, becoming the first NHL team to do so since the expansion season Washington Capitals in 1974.

The uniform follows the same template as those unveiled by the San Jose Sharks, their Stadium Series opponent, late last week.

The top half of the jersey is silver, bottom half white, a black horizontal stripe runs through the middle of the jersey behind the team crest.

On the collar are two crowns, one for each Stanley Cup “crown” the team has won throughout their franchise history:

There is no “SoCal” patch on the shoulder of this jersey, instead they will use the “LA” patch we saw on the shoulder of the Kings Stadium Series jersey in the 2013-14 season.

Standard Kings font is used on the back and arms, but like the Sharks the numbers are much larger than usual — again, to make them easier to see in the giant football stadium:

On those whacky white pants is a large “LA” logo, same one seen on the shoulder of the jersey:

The Kings will wear this uniform against the Sharks on February 21st, they’ll be worn again for an indoor game on April 11th – also against San Jose.

Those few people out there upset that the Kings are going with black, silver, and white again, their official Twitter account has a pretty great explanation for why they did so:

Spot on, spot on.
