The Detroit Lions are having a rough time right now. They’re 1-7, and they’re coming off of a long trip to London that resulted in a blowout defeat against the Kansas City Chiefs. Simply put, it’s tough to be a part of the Lions right now.
Things were made worse this week when the team encountered a snafu when it came to transporting their equipment from across the pond and back here to the United States. As a result, the Lions are practicing with decal-less helmets.
Now, in the past, this would be a sign of good things to come since the Lions normally went with decal-less helmets whenever they wore their throwback uniforms.
However, there’s no indication that the Lions will be wearing throwbacks this year, so instead this is just a moment where insult is being added to injury for the poor ol’ Lions. The positive news for Detroit is that they’re on a bye this week, which means that they can’t lose. Gotta take any small victories that you can get at this point, right?
