Tonight, we’re going to see the debut of the NFL’s Thursday Night Football Color Rush program, which means that we’re going to get a large dose of the Buffalo Bills’ blood-clot red uniforms and the New York Jets’ chrome kelly green uniforms. However, we also got a sneak preview of what’s to come next week when the Jaguars and Titans join in on the fun.
Now, as you can see, the Titans are simply wearing their light blue combo that they wore a lot during the days of Vince Young — except replace the navy blue socks with light blue. However, I think that the uniform that we’re all focused on here is that gold Jaguars uniform.
I had a pretty unpopular opinion in that I wasn’t immediately repulsed by the all-red look for the Bills (mostly because the Bills’ look is so solid that even an all-red look like that isn’t bad for them, in my opinion), but there’s no saving this look for the Jaguars. That is a garish shade of gold, and it’s only going to draw more attention to what’s currently one of the worst helmets in the NFL. I would say that going all-teal would’ve been a better idea, but judging by their teal uniforms that they wore before with this set, I doubt that that would’ve saved this look.
So, if you aren’t a fan of the look that’s going to be on display tonight, then you probably aren’t going to like what you’re going to see in a week’s time.
