Memphis Grizzlies Adding New Jersey Next Season

As previously reported, the Memphis Grizzlies are among the new teams who will be wearing an additional uniform next season. The 2016-17 NBA season Adidas catalog lists the new uniform for the Grizzlies to be a “Pride Alternate” uniform. The catalog describes these uniforms with this paragraph:

Can be more exploratory in design, and used to celebrate something local to that team or region. Will be a short sleeve silhouette, and will be worn at least 1 time, with a maximum or 6 times.

A couple weeks ago, an image was leaked that appears to hint at the color and design of the Grizzlies Pride alternate uniform. The instagram user  robsonsports1 posted this image from an upcoming New Era catalog, containing a recolored  wordmark of the 2000-01 Vancouver Grizzlies home uniform:

Considering all this information, I’ve mocked up a couple possible designs that the new Grizzlies Pride alternate uniform might follow. The jersey might or might not contain the shoulder stripes of contrasting color and the shorts design might or might not follow the design of the original Vancouver Grizzlies shorts. We’ll have a wait to see a fully confirmed design, but I’d imagine we’ll see something close to this.
