As has been the case over the past four seasons, all thirty Major League Baseball teams will be clad full-out in camouflage caps and jerseys today in honour of the Memorial Day holiday in the United States.
The uniforms this season will make use of a new “woodland” camouflage pattern licensed by the US Marine Corps for the 29 U.S. based teams, the Toronto Blue Jays will feature the “CADPAT” design used by the Canadian Forces.
A handy side-by-side showing the differences between the U.S. and Canadian designs, the Jays jersey wordmark and logo will feature a similar pattern to the one shown here:
All U.S. team jerseys will feature the same USMC “woodland” camo pattern on logo wordmarks and player numbers, while team logo patches (Indians aside, noted later in this article) will be re-coloured green and brown to better match the camouflage colour scheme.
As always, *all proceeds from the sales of these jerseys* will benefit the Welcome Back Veterans charity. So I’ll save you the time of claiming it’s a cash grab by the league, MLB doesn’t see a dime from these sales.

And now a look at every jersey and cap combo being worn today, each team follows their standard home/road uniform style with two notable exceptions (for reasons not officially explained), the Atlanta Braves jersey is without the tomahawk across the front, the Milwaukee Brewers replace their modern day logo patch with the retro 80s ball/glove logo. The Cleveland Indians will be the only team to wear their usual colours on their sleeve patch, it will not be re-coloured to match the camouflage wordmark.
