The NHL’s annual New Year’s extravaganza will be held at Busch Stadium in St. Louis this season, and now we know what the logo for the 2017 NHL Winter Classic will look like since the team officially unveiled the logo in a press conference.

As expected, the famous Gateway Arch plays a major role in the logo and the focal point of the design. Previous Winter Classic logos have made local landmarks the focus of their logo’s design, and this is no different. Plus, with the Arch actually in view outside of the stadium, it was a no-brainer to include that beautiful landmark in the logo.

Additionally, the Blues announced that their uniforms for the big game will be unveiled at a later date. However, they may have given us a bit of a teaser as far as those are concerned by posting this image on Twitter.

My guess is that we’ll see a mix of their looks from the 1960s and the 1990s. If that’s the case, then we could be in for some really classy-looking uniforms from the Blues. It’ll be a nice compliment to the logo for this year’s Winter Classic. Combine that with the fact that the Blackhawks will always have a solid look to fall back on, and this could be one of the better-looking Winter Classics. We’ll have to see how it goes, but so far, the 2017 Winter Classic is off to a good start with a solid logo.
