2015 4Evar! Royals Unveil New Gold-Trimmed Uniform

The Kansas City Royals have unveiled a new home alternate uniform, officially announced via their social media accounts yesterday morning.

White with gold accents, the new uniform will be worn for each Friday home game in 2017 and likely seasons beyond. Unlike the gold-themed uniform worn this past season, this is an official alternate uniform for the team, while that was a special “one-time-only” uniform to celebrate their championship.

There are differences between this set and the 2016 version, aside from the official designation. Across the chest the “ROYALS” wordmark is now blue with gold trim, a straight-up flip from what was worn in 2016. The jersey number on the front is now gold with blue trim, last year it was just plain blue.

On the back the player number is the same as 2016 but the names are now blue trimmed in gold. The caps are identical to 2016 save for the New Era logo (in gold, too) on the side which will be worn league-wide.
