The Seattle Seahawks snuck one past all of us today as the team announced would have a new alternate logo for the 2017 season. The team made the new logo official via a post on their Facebook page Tuesday evening.
First spotted over the weekend on player caps, the new alternate logo features a head-on look at the Seahawks familiar and usually-seen-as-a-profile totem-pole inspired mark.

At this point we’re not expecting to see this new logo on a Seahawks uniform this season but we have learned that the logo (unsurprisingly but at least we can confirm) will appear on retail caps and t-shirts.
This is the first alternate logo for the Seahawks since their rarely seen but awesomely detailed “attacking seahawk” logo which was retired circa 2011.
