The Avengers will take a break from defending the Earth from evil to take to minor league hockey rinks all over the continent in the coming months. All 27 teams in the ECHL will wear Marvel-themed Super Hero uniforms on theme nights during the 2017-18 season. The league-wide partnership between the entertainment juggernaut and the ECHL is the first of its kind for Marvel in North America.

At the unveiling, which was held at noted comic book store Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash in Red Bank, New Jersey, Marvel’s Vice President & Executive Editor Ryan Penagos tweeted the above photo in his “one-of-a-kind Captain America ECHL Agent M jersey.”

One of the early entries in the series will be the Toledo Walleye’s Iron Man uniforms, pictured above. Other characters to be featured include fellow Avengers Captain America, Thor, and Hulk.
