Baseball Club to Wear Washington Capitals Uniforms

With the nearby Washington Capitals locked in the Eastern Conference Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning right now, the Frederick Keys (Class A-Baltimore Orioles) of the Carolina League will be doing their best to support the boys in red.

No, they won’t be wearing the logo I quickly whipped up at the top of the post (sorry), instead one inspired by what the Capitals wore for the 2015 Winter Classic outdoor game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Take a look:

The Keys will be wearing these uniforms for their home game on Friday night against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.

In 2014 we saw two independent baseball league teams wear retro hockey uniforms inspired by the Quebec Nordiques and Minnesota North Stars in what was a damn good-looking ball game:
