World Series Trophy Damaged During Red Sox Parade

The Boston Red Sox celebrated their latest World Series Championship with a parade through the streets of Boston this afternoon.

While everyone was clearly in a festive mood, the star of the show, the World Series Trophy, didn’t quite have as good of a time.

Thanks to an errant toss of a beer can, the trophy looks to have lost (or have bent) one or two of the thirty flags which make up most of the design (via WCVB Boston):

George Costanza would be proud.

According to NESN the Red Sox were able to repair the trophy quickly, no harm no foul I suppose.
