The 2018 NFL Playoffs kick off this weekend, so it’s time to start looking at who we might see pair up at Super Bowl LIII which is now less than one month away.
With six teams on each side that leaves us with thirty-six potential Super Bowl LIII matchups, the number of possible matchups will go down considerably after each game is played, once we hit the division round next weekend we’ll have cut this down by more than 50% to just 16 pairings.
Entering the 2018 NFL Playoffs Wildcard Weekend, here is every possible matchup for Super Bowl LIII:

Some possible Super Bowl Rematches? Patriots vs Bears (XX), Patriots vs Rams (XXXVI), Patriots vs Eagles (XXXIX), Colts vs Bears (XLI), Colts vs Saints (XLIV), Patriots vs Seahawks (XLIX), and of course, the Patriots vs Eagles again (LII).
Or some possible fun Super Bowl Nicknames? La Bowl (Chargers-Rams), The $Texas Bowl (Texans-Cowboys), The Bird Bowl (Ravens-Eagles), The I-70 180° Bowl (Chiefs-Rams), The Old West Bowl (Chiefs-Cowboys or Colts-Cowboys), The USA! Bowl (Patriots-Eagles), and, of course, The Ra Ra Bowl (Ravens-Rams).
There are only a few same helmet colour possibilities – Patriots and Cowboys both with silver, and the Texans could pair up in navy blue against the Bears, Seahawks, or Rams. Colts-Rams would also give us a couple of blue and white helmets against each other, that is assuming the Rams don’t end up wearing their retros in the playoffs… really, who knows how the NFL would feel about that.

And updating our original list of possible interesting matchups… we ended up with the Super Bowl XXXVI rematch, albeit with the Rams in a new city with a different uniform.
