A promotion put on by the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons will bring a hockey feel to the baseball diamond in upstate New York later this summer. The Bisons will wear jerseys that evoke their intra-city hockey neighbors of the 1970s and ’80s for Hockey Night at the Ballpark
Like the royal blue Sabres jerseys from the 1970s and 1980s, the Bisons’ Hockey Night jersey features gold stripes across the bottom and on the sleeves. Three faux sweater laces are printed underneath the gold collar, evoking the style of a vintage ‘hockey sweater. The jerseys feature the Bisons’ classic standing buffalo logo in the Sabres’ blue and gold.
The team will wear caps that feature royal blue with a gold brim, also with a blue and gold Bisons logo.
Hockey Night in Buffalo will take place August 16. Game-worn jerseys will be autographed and auctioned off to benefit the Buffalo Bisons Charitable Foundation and the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.
