ECHL Thunder Celebrate Five Seasons in Adirondack

The Adirondack Thunder are ready to celebrate five seasons of life in the ECHL. Adirondack is currently affiliated with the NHL’s New Jersey Devils.

Earlier today, the upstate New York hockey team unveiled their fifth anniversary season logo — the logo shows the club’s logo within a circle, the team name surrounding it and their establishment year of 2015 below. This design is placed on a large silver, bevelled “V” — the Roman Numeral for 5, which it itself is encased within a red triangular shield. A black banner showing the current “2019 2020” season jets out on either side behind the shield.

The Thunder will be wearing this logo as a commemorative patch on the shoulder of their third uniform, it will not be featured on their home or road sweaters. The team also plans on having merchandise available with the logo in time for the season.

Adirondack has been home to professional minor league hockey consistently since the 2009-10 season with the Adirondack Phantoms of the American Hockey League, there was also a single season of the Adirondack Flames before the great AHL-ECHL switcheroo of 2015 saw a swap of the Adirondack and Stockton teams for 2015-16.
