The Baltimore Ravens will celebrate their 20th season with a special uniform patch for their upcoming 2015 NFL season.
The patch is a purple shield with the Ravens primary bird logo on the top, two “X”s (Roman numeral for 20) above a gold banner reading “20 Seasons 1996-2015”.
The shield may be an homage to their original primary logo, the one which the club eventually had to drop due to a legal issue with the designer of the mark:
Then again it may just be playing off the current alternate logo (which, no doubt, was inspired by said logo).
Ravens players will wear the patch on their uniform throughout the entire 2015 season.
