Logo Unveiled for the 2020 NCAA Final Four in Atlanta

The logo for the 2020 NCAA Men’s Final Four in Atlanta was unveiled by the NCAA yesterday via a video posted to their official Twitter account.

In a welcome change for an Atlanta-hosted Final Four, there’s not a peach to be found anywhere in the logo. Instead, the logo is meant to show things rising, as in a team’s ascension through the tournament. The logo was designed by Indianapolis-based agency Section 127 who had previously done the 2019 Men’s and Women’s NCAA Final Four logos.

“The entire mark is an upward rising image which features Atlanta, the Final Four teams’ and the eventual champion’s rise to the top,” clarified Ellen Lucey, the NCAA’s director of marketing and branding.

It will be the fifth time Atlanta has hosted the Men’s Final Four championship and now in a third different venue, the 1977 tournament final was played at The Omni; 2002, 2007, and 2013 at the now-demolished Georgia Dome, and 2020 at the brand-new Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
