USA Basketball Officially Unveils Uniforms For 2014 FIBA World Cup

Last month, USA Basketball’s uniforms for the 2014 Basketball World Cup leaked onto the internet and we covered the leak for you as well. Since then, we’ve seen them everywhere, even on the cover of a prominent basketball magazine. To say that this was a badly kept secret would be an understatement.

Even though these uniforms were all over the place, Nike still went ahead and gave these uniforms an official unveiling. So here they are, in their fancy and clear layout.

USAB2USAB1In addition to seeing the uniforms laid out nice and neatly onto the ground in a quaint little photoshop, we also got an image of Houston Rockets guard James Harden modeling the uniforms as well, complete with the USA Basketball badge and the FIBA patch that all teams will be wearing for the upcoming competition.

Harden also models the new socks, which is really the only new thing that we’ve seen here. It’s interesting to see a team actually design a basketball uniform down to the socks, since normally in the NBA, we just see players wear either generic black-or-white socks or socks that tie in to whatever the league is promoting for that particular week.

Now that we’ve had an “official” look at the unis that USA’s B-Team will be wearing at the Basketball World Cup, what do you think? Has your opinion changed now that you’ve seen it the way Nike intended you to see it, or are your feelings still the same?
