Let’s wait and see how (and if) this logo will be used on the new uniforms. Still like the back to basics approach of the Brooklyn Nets logos. The last NJ logo was really nice, it would have looked very good in black and white as well, I guess.

I thought the last NJ logo was one of the best in the league. This one is gonna take an adjustment period to get used to it. Overall, not horrible, more of a simplified version of the previous one if you really think about it.

In reply to KDub1. Go look at the NBA page featuring all the team logos. The Nets logo is one of the better looking ones in my opinion.

I’m a Brooklyn native and resident and the Barclay Center is about three miles north of my apartment. That said, I think that the design of the Nets logo is thoroughly appropriate to our borough and yes, we did have black and white signage on our streets and subways for many years. Also, I think that this road sign for the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel might have inspired Jay-Z and his design team:
