The Blue Jays also do a double-blue and red combo, but much less emphasis on the red… I’m just not a fan of a country re-colouring their flag for the purposes of fashion on an official team uniform — to me, a flag’s colours should be untouchable.

I actually really like these. Who ever os complaining about too much red obviously hasnt been to Canada lol. Jokes aside, the two-tone blue is way better then having the red exactly replicating the flag. It would look like they are wearing the Union Jack on them if it was the normal colours. Every team/country seems to have blue and red and very few have double blue. And how many have double blue AND red? Um I think the Buffalo Bills are the only team I can think of that did that. Either way, the britain unis are very unique, noticable, clever but not too over the top.

The pattern itself is instantly recognizable as the Union Flag. Once you have that in your mind, you can tweak the colors, as McCartney did, making them two-tone blue.

Boris looks splendid and very Australian indeed in his pink and purple jacket, haha! As for Stella’s design, why change the colours of the Union Jack to sky blue and black if you say that you love that flag so much? But then again, I am a total stranger to fashion.
