I’m not from Minnesota but I think I can answer your question. Gophers can have pretty bushy tails. I have never seen a gopher with a tail *this* bushy, though, so I guess this may have been for the sake of “art”. Or just inaccurate.

And it would be cool if Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin all had their sweater-wearing mascot logos. Games between them could be the Rodent Wars!

also, i kinda wish michigan had this guy (http://c-product.images.fansedge.com/42-21/42-21535-1-Y.jpg) with a sweater on so minnesota, wisconsin, and michigan could have the trifecta of northern state sweatered mascot logos.
