You aren’t getting all the SportsLogos.Net News you should be!
Sure, a little dramatic, but some folks are upset about this. (Well, like us, for one.) The way facebook fan pages work, they assume that organizations are going to abuse their posting power, or people wont want to hear form them all the time, or maybe they simply want to sell fan pages upgrades…. but in any case, when we post breaking logo and uniform news, only about 1/3rd of our audience ever sees that post.
What the hell, right? You signed up as a fan because you didn’t want to miss your local team’s new third jersey, or the fact that some crazy independent-league team just wore the most insane uniform ever seen on a field. Right?
OK, the good news is, there IS a work-around to make sure you see every bit of sports design goodness we post.
(By the way, we feel this is a good time to point out a couple things. 1. We don’t abuse our direct line to your Facebook feed. We rarely post more than two or three times a day, and almost never ever about the same subject twice. 2. As far as we know, twitter doesn’t withhold what people post, so fee free to follow us there @sportslogosnet To be fair, we post a little more often there, but that’s to be expected. It’s Twitter.)
Here is how to make it work:
1. Go to the fan page.
2. On the right side of the page is the “Like” button. It should say “Liked”, if you hover (or click if using the phone apps) you will see an additional menu. (As shown to the right)
3. Click “Get Notifications”, the option checked “Show In News Feed” only gives you about 1/3 of our breaking logo and uniform news updates
This will make sure you see every post we make. Yes, you will get the little red number notification for our posts just like you do for replies to your own content, or replies that follow yours on other people’s statuses, but you get enough of those already that this shouldn’t annoy too much. Plus, like we said, we really don’t abuse our powers here. (And we will be even more conscious in the future, as well.)
So, “Get Notifications” is your key to hearing everything that’s good in the sports design world.
Let us know what you think. Will you make the change? Do you find it too annoying to get a notification? Is our content worth it? Hey, did you even KNOW you were missing stories?
And if you aren’t following us on Facebook… what the heck? Click here to fix that mistake!
