I wish that the Mariners would do Throwback Jerseys for the 1902-1903 Seattle Clamdiggers Baseball Team. That is a truly unique mascot and says, “the Pacific Northwest” much more than Mariners or Pilots or Seahawks. Rainiers, Sounders and Clamdiggers, now that’s the Pacific Northwest! Ivor would have been proud of that! He use to say, “Keep Clam!” for the motto of his famous Seafood Restaurants in Seattle.

The Mariners should wear this more often. It looks very basic but very stylish at the same time. Wonder what the Cubs will make of these awesome road uniforms and the pinstriped hat. What was the Turks logo, by the way? A gobbling turkey?

The Cubs were defending champions in that photo! Maybe they should change their unis back to what they wore back then. Might just be the ticket aside from moving out of Wrigley Field.

In reply to Ryan. Those Cubs road uniforms from the 1980's should come back as an alternate, but with button down jerseys and the current shoulder patch logo on the sleeve. Or a modernized version of the 1980's shoulder patch logo.

I like the simplicity of the Turks’ unis, but to really be authentic it needs the collar and long sleeves…otherwise it would look pretty modern compared to the 1909 Cubbies one (which looks awesome).

Yeah, let’s hope the Cubs follow suit with those old style road uniforms. Whoever says this turn back the clock idea is overdone? It’s a great way to show not just the team’s history, but the history of that sport in that city.
