I am sick and tired of teams adding black to thier classic colors. My Celitcs did this a few years back and now the Lakers it is pathetic. I am a jersey collector with over 100 different jerseys and even I view this a cash grab nothing more.

Those are bad ass! Bout time they get a decent alternate. The black really makes the purple and gold pop.

Is there some purple at the bottom lining of the shorts? It looks like it. Nevertheless, this is stupid. Hollywood Nights to me seems to be a synonym for the smog to clear a little, deserted streets, rundown bars on Sunset, coyotes howling from the canyons and rolling tumble weeds (I obviously do not like the city of Los Angeles, but I still have a soft spot for the Lakers, dating to the Showtime era when the NBA was still the most important league in the world to me). So this bland black and white outfit, which mocks the awesome purple and gold uniform history of the franchise, seems to be hitting the nail on the head. Boring and useless.

The jersey itself looks sharp. But black with the Lakers? No! Let the Sacramento Kings have this jersey only with silver not gold.
