The Anaheim Ducks have started to get “Mighty” ahead of their first throwback night Sunday afternoon and it has extended to the official team website.
If you ever wanted an idea of how the currently named Anaheim Ducks might look back in their retro colours and logos the official site gives you an idea:
Players have also been practicing wearing equipment featuring the classic colours to get them worked in in time for the game Sunday:
Retro uniforms are all over the place at the official Ducks team shop, the jerseys on sale have the 20th anniversary logo patch on the front – we’re not sure if this means they’ll be worn as part of the throwback uniforms on Sunday or not… hopefully not:
The Ducks will be wearing their inaugural season purple and jade road uniforms as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations against the Ottawa Senators. Fans will be given a team photo of the 93-94 Mighty Ducks and several members of that original team will be on hand for a pre-game ceremony.
