As much as it pains me to say it, the Boston Red Sox are the 2013 American League Champions. Mr. John Farrell gets the last laugh (so far, anyways) and it stings right in the heart of this fan of the 2012-13 Off-season Champion Toronto Blue Jays.
Anyways, Detroit pitched well, until their bullpen got in the way, but it wasn’t enough to net them their second consecutive pennant. If they had won, here’s how they would have celebrated it with in the merchandise department. I’m a little disappointed none of these items celebrated them as “Back-to-Back AL Champs”
Boston now moves on to the World Series where they’ll take on the St. Louis Cardinals in a re-match of the 2004 Fall Classic. Detroit joins the Dodgers counting down the days to Spring Training 2014.
