Cincinnati Reds Unveil Camo, St Paddys Day, New BP Jerseys

The Cincinnati Reds unveiled three new uniforms for the 2014 season earlier tonight at their annual Redsfest fan event.

First up was the new camouflage alternate uniform which, as we mentioned yesterday, would be worn six times during the 2014 season Seen below in this perspective-corrected photograph courtesy Twitter user @ctrent.

The camo patterned jersey is in a brown desert camo pattern with the “Reds” script previously seen on the teams old BP jersey. The script as well as the Reds “wishbone-C” logo on the sleeve are both brown.

This uniform is an official alternate jersey and is considered a part of their regular rotation of jerseys. The Reds join the New York Mets and San Diego Padres as teams with a camouflage alternate jersey currently in Major League Baseball.

Cincinnati also unveiled a green and white St. Patrick’s Day uniform which is in the new BP jersey template (note the green stripes at the collar and along the sides). Photo also courtesy @ctrent:

The Reds will be wearing this uniform for their St. Patrick’s Day Spring Training game against the Cleveland Indians on March 17, 2014.

Finally, we got our first official photo of a new batting practice uniform courtesy a Tweet from the Cincinnati Reds showing two players wearing the new black road BP jerseys.

Every MLB team will be getting a new BP jersey for 2014, they basically follow the exact same template as the one the Reds showed off tonight. You can see the complete collection in our post on the leaked photos back in October.

As if that weren’t enough, yesterday we noted that the Reds appeared to have made very slight (but very welcome according to the comments on the post) adjustments to their road grey jerseys:

The only notable difference being the placement of the sleeve striping, now at the very edge of the sleeve rather than half-an-inch away.
