Is this the new logo for the Florida State Seminoles?
At this point, all signs are pointing to “probably”.
Twitter user @Maida904 posted a pic yesterday showing what could be the new Florida State logo on a t-shirt at a Walmart, reports from those close to the design process are that Maida904’s photo matches the descriptions they’ve heard of the new symbol.
The logo is mostly an updated/cleaned up version of the familiar Seminole logo, the face has been altered as well as the face paint (which some had suggested looked like bacon on the old logo).
There have also been updates made to the feather, the new one is now gold and sticks out of the circle, the “Florida State” wordmark has been removed, replaced with an “FSU” symbol near the base of it.
If this is indeed the new logo, what are your thoughts? Some have said it bears too similar of a resemblance to actor Christopher Walken, others have criticized it saying it looks “too caucasian”. Share your opinion in the comments section below.
