The Buffalo Bills announced today that they will be wearing a special memorial patch on their jerseys in memory of Ralph C. Wilson, Jr, the owner of the Buffalo Bills from their first days in 1960 right up until his death earlier this year.
The patch will incorporate Wilson’s initials “RCW” inside a silver and blue oval.
From the posting on the official Buffalo Bills website:
“Ralph would be humbled to see such a tribute in his honour, worn proudly by a team that meant so much to him,” said Mary Wilson, wife of Ralph Wilson, Jr., and controlling owner of the Bills. “The patch is a fitting acknowledgement of his commitment to the players, the team, and the Western New York area, and our family is touched by the outpouring of support and remembrance.”
