The Charlotte Hornets unveiled their new uniforms for their upcoming return to the NBA earlier today.
Three new uniforms were unveiled, a home, road, and alternate. As we learned via a leak earlier this year, the home whites say “HORNETS”, “CHARLOTTE” appears on the teal uniform (not sure at this point if this is road or alternate, based on what I’ve heard I *believe* it to be alternate)
Contrary to rumours we had heard earlier, there are no pinstripes on any of the uniforms:
Each uniform comes with a coloured collar – teal on the white and purple, purple on the teal. This collar colour extends down the side of the uniform, jersey to shorts, where it meets with one of the many secondary logos at the bottom of the shorts. On the white and purple the logo is the “CH/Crown” logo, on the teal it is the hornet in a sting pose logo.
On the waistband of all three is the hornet silhouette logo, the logo is teal on the white and purple uniforms and is white on the teals.
Lots of details we’re still waiting for including what the back of the jerseys look like and the official designation of the three uniforms. We’ll update as we get it.
UPDATE (Jun 19/14: 11:54am ET):
Our first look at the back of the uniforms… I’m kinda scared about seeing that NBA logo there, creating extra room for front-of-jersey advertisements?
The Charlotte Hornets have posted a photo gallery showing many more photos — you can see that here, we’ve picked out a few to showcase below:
