The Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, and Sacramento Kings all had secondary logos get leaked onto the internet recently, and as you’d expect from us, we’ve got details on all of them.
Boston Celtics
The new secondary logos for the Celtics are nothing really lavish or loud as you’d expect for one of the blueblood franchises of the NBA that pride themselves on an extremely traditional visual identity. The logo is very simple, as it’s clearly a minimalist take on the primary logo. The teritary logo is even more simple, as it removes the name “Boston Celtics” and all there is is a silhouette of the famous leprechaun that is on the primary logo. There’s no official word yet, but there’s a very good chance that this could replace the simple Shamrock logo that had served as the Celtics’ secondary logo since the late 90s.
Golden State Warriors
The Warriors are preparing for a move to San Francisco, and this is one of the ways that they’re doing so. This logo will be replacing the previous secondary logo which was a stylized “W” that was placed on top of a silhouette of the state of California. So instead of having the entire state represented with a secondary logo, they’ve decided to go with a roundel that contains the same “W” logo.
Philadelphia 76ers
In what was easily the most interesting logo revealed, the Sixers have apparently come up with a logo that shows Benjamin Frnaklin dribbling a basketball while wearing 76ers gear. Excuse me, but this is AWESOME. Unfortunately, there are no current plans to put this logo on the uniforms, but with rumors that there are new uniforms on the way for Philadelphia in 2015-16, there still might be a chance that the Sixers may run out with this logo on their uniforms someday. Also included is an extremely simple logo that contains 13 stars in a circle, representing the original 13 colonies. This is actually a small part of the club’s primary logo, so it’s not exactly new.
Sacramento Kings
Nothing new at all here, as it appears that the Kings have decided to turn a script that is currently on their black alternate jersey (and was first introduced on an ill-fated gold alternate jersey) into an official secondary logo for the team.

Now that you’ve taken a look at the new (and in most cases, not so new) secondary logos, what do you think? Which one is your 2nd favorite (because we all know that Benjamin Franklin has dribbled his way into all of our hearts with this logo)?
