The National Basketball Association has made an alteration to the design of their official game ball, they have added their official Twitter handle.
Starting with the 2014-15 season the official Spalding NBA game balls will have “@NBA” stamped to the left of the league logo. The NBA is the first league to incorporate its Twitter account onto their in-game ball (or puck).
Earlier this year the NBA changed their official game basketballs to replace outgoing commissioner David Stern’s signature with that of the incoming Adam Silver.
What do you think? Is this a minor-league move by a major league or just the way things are these days? Sound off in the comments.
