The Philadelphia Flyers are bringing back an old classic for 2015, a “Winter Classic” to be more precise.
Last night the Flyers unveiled their new third jersey for the upcoming season, it’s their 2012 Winter Classic uniform. The orange, black, and “heritage white” jersey they wore on January 1, 2012 against the New York Rangers at Citizens Bank Park.
Philadelphia will wear the uniform 12 times this season, their first appearance at home against the Montreal Canadiens on October 11th. Here’s the complete schedule:
October 11 vs Montreal Canadiens
November 19 at New York Rangers
November 28 vs New York Rangers
December 13 vs Carolina Hurricanes
January 10 vs Boston Bruins
January 31 vs Toronto Maple Leafs
February 21 vs Nashville Predators
March 7 at Boston Bruins
March 14 vs Detroit Red Wings
March 28 vs San Jose Sharks
April 5 vs Pittsburgh Penguins
April 11 vs Ottawa Senators
The Flyers jersey comes just a couple days after their intra-state rivals in Pittsburgh unveiled their new alternate uniform, also a jersey from seasons past.
