The Toronto Raptors will wear a patch on their uniforms during the 2014-15 NBA season commemorating their 20th anniversary in the National Basketball Association.
A photo (shown at the top of this post) showing the patch on the jersey of Raptors player Landry Fields was snapped and Tweeted by Raptors radio man Eric Smith during their annual media day earlier today.
The logo features two “X”s, representing the Roman numeral for 20, in purple with the silver jagged pinstripe from their inaugural uniforms down the middle of them. In between the two X’s is the Raptors current claw logo in a black circle.
The Raptors are planning on also playing a game while wearing their inaugural season uniforms, the infamous purple jersey with a giant red dinosaur on the front was worn from the 1995-96 until the end of the 1998-99 season.
