Poor college football kickers. They never seem to get the respect that they should command considering that many games come down to their foot. Instead, they’re the butt of many jokes and ridiculed as the wild card of every college football game (seriously, check out #CollegeKickers on twitter. It’s not pretty.). What happened in Columbus, Ohio on last Saturday night didn’t help matters much for our much-maligned friends. Ohio State decided to wear their “Rivalry” Pro Combat uniforms for their game against the Illinois Fighting Illini. Since we’re talking about Big 10 traditional powerhous Ohio State here, the uniform isn’t a huge departure from what they normally wear, but it’s enough to where there’s a stark difference between the pants, at least.
So naturally, the kicker either didn’t get the memo or his equipment manager let him down because he ended up running out in the primary set of pants.
At least it wasn’t all bad for our friend with the big leg; At least they got the jersey right.
(H/T to our friends at Uni Watch for pointing this out)
