The 2016 NCAA Men’s Final Four basketball tournament logo was unveiled earlier today, the tournament will be held in Houston, Texas (photo above courtesy @StrikeMGHou)
The logo breaks away from the Final Four logo template which had been in place since 2007, everything here is a new design – a welcome sight to these sore eyes.
At the top of the logo is a depiction of the NCAA Men’s Basketball National Champions trophy, in the background is a subtle incorporation of the Texas state flag, and just for kicks I’m going to pretend the stars are a bracket showing the final four clubs in the semis and the finals — the biggest star being the champion, the smaller the runner-up.
Count me in as a fan of this logo, kudos to all of those involved in the project.
