The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, American Hockey League affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, unveiled a new orange alternate uniform yesterday.
The uniforms follow a season where fans were encouraged to wear orange during Friday home games, the promotion was referred to as an “Orange Out”. The idea now being that the players will also take part in the oranging out of the arena, you see.
“These awesome orange jerseys put our intense, vibrant and ORANGE OUT philosophy directly in the hands of our players and fans. Not only will we be wearing these for the first time on January 16th, but we will continue to wear them on Friday nights for the rest of the season.” – Phantoms executive VP Chris Porreca
