The National Hockey League is expected to unveil the uniforms for the 2015 All-Star Game later today, but thanks to a store eager to sell some new merchandise we got an early look at the new jerseys.

There are two designs, one white, the other black, trim colour is neon green paying tribute to the host city of… Columbus… I guess?

Alright, frankly I have no idea why there’s neon green in this design. The Blue Jackets are red, white, and blue and so is the 2015 All-Star Game logo… the only stretch I can kinda make is that the original Blue Jackets brand had a neon yellow component, but it wasn’t a green like this at all.

The photo snapper of these fine images describes the crest as being similar to the 2014 Stadium Series jerseys in that the “chromified” logo is printed onto thin twill and then glued onto a thicker twill… in other words, not embroidered.

There’s also a nice shot of the shoulder/arm stripes and the sublimated new “ALL-STAR” wordmark logo:

The NHL sent out a teaser image earlier today showing the black version of this uniform as well as some of the player numbers:

We’re told the black version is a simple colour inversion of the white shown above.

This is it folks, what do you think?

UPDATE: The jerseys have also been spotted at the Buffalo Sabres team shop, here’s a good pic of the black jersey:
