Last week, we let you all know that the Arizona Diamondbacks were going to go back to their unique color scheme of purple, teal, and gold for their Throwback Thursday promotion for the 2015 season. When the news broke, all we knew was that they’d be wearing the purple hats. We didn’t know exactly which uniform that they’d choose to wear from those days, and if they’d wear only one.
Now, we know the answer: It’s only one jersey, and it’s the sleeved vest alternate.

This isn’t the first time that the Diamondbacks have broken out this sleeveless jersey; In fact, they wore them 4 years ago during the 10-Year Anniversary celebration of their 2001 World Series-winning team.
I’ve gotta say; It looked good back then, and it looks good now. Yeah, it basically had every cliche ’90s color, but it was still a solid baseball uniform that utilized those cliche colors in wonderful fashion. That’s how you make a good uniform.
So, what do you think? Should they have gone with another uniform choice from this era, or are you glad to see the vests making a comeback?
