Syracuse Chiefs Unveil New Uniforms

New Chiefs Uniforms 2015

Their affiliation with Toronto ended years ago, but the Syracuse Chiefs have still maintained their identity from their days with the Blue Jays.

This year some of that will finally change. Note, I said “some”.

Syracuse unveiled a new road and alternate uniform today, both in the red, white, and blue colour scheme of their current affiliate, the Washington Nationals.

“It’s all new for us, but it still shows a relationship with our parent club, it just gives that little extra tie back to our parent club.” – Anthony Cianchetta, Chiefs director of multimedia production to syracuse.com

In additional to swapping the colours, the road uniform drops “Chiefs” in favour of “Syracuse”, this to show pride in their hometown while representing the city on the road.

On the alternates the Chiefs will wear blue with red side panels, the Chiefs cap logo on the chest.

What the Chiefs have now is a mess of identities. Their primary logo and home jersey are in the black, blue, and silver colours as well as the general style of the Toronto Blue Jays previous brand (2004-11); the road and alternates based off of the Washington Nationals.
