The Houston Astros and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim will be throwing it back to 1965 this afternoon during their game at Minute Maid Park.
The Astros are hosting the retro gala in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the naming of their team, from 1962-64 the Astros were known as the Houston Colt .45s. A dispute over merchandising with the Colt Firearm company during the Winter of ’64 led the team to re-brand as the space-themed Astros for 1965.

Mike later added that the Angels would also be wearing their famous halo caps of the era, because how could they not?
