The NBA has officially unveiled the 2016 NBA All-Star Game logo following a leak which occurred earlier in the day. The unveiling took place at a media event held at Toronto’s CN Tower.
Front and centre in the logo is Toronto’s CN Tower shown as if you were looking up toward the observation deck and above, “ALL STAR TORONTO” is wrapped around that observation deck with the NBA logo above and “2016” running vertically below. The logo is in red, black, silver, and gold which syncs up with the new colour scheme of the Toronto Raptors. There is no maple leaf to be found in the primary mark.
There is some Canadiana going on in the alternate marks, however…
You better believe that’s a toque… not to mention a sharp stylized maple leaf logo in the top left.
Additional marks include:
And of course, there’s a whole special set of black-and-gold logos, presumably for Drake and his OVO fashion line:
The primary logo was leaked early this morning and caught by Toronto radio personality Geoff Rohoman who saw and screencapped a video uploaded to NBA.com:
Found a video on the @nba website which apparently shows the #TorontoAllStar game logo. Thoughts? @Raptors pic.twitter.com/HEact123LU

The video Mr. Rohoman is referring to was quickly removed from the website, guess we know why.
The 2016 NBA All-Star Game will take place next February at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre, it is the first NBA All-Star Game to be held outside the United States.
