The Colorado Avalanche have unveiled a tweak to their uniforms this evening just prior to the start of the 2015 NHL Draft.
Gone is the “Yeti” foot which had been on the shoulder of the Avs home and road uniforms since their first season in Denver twenty years ago. In its place is the re-coloured “CO” from the State of Colorado flag.

The addition of the new shoulder logo gives the Avs a connection to Denver’s previous NHL team, the Colorado Rockies, who played during the late 1970s until moving to New Jersey to become the Devils in 1982.
