Slipping this one in just before the buzzer, the Kamloops Blazers have unveiled their new home and road uniforms in time for their 2015-16 Western Hockey League season opener this weekend.
The new look are a vast improvement over what the team wore last year (see graphic at bottom of this post), the Reebok random piping and giant shoulder yokes are gone, what we have now are a much more traditional set with three waist stripes (so glad to see teams bringing these back) and three sleeve stripes.
On each shoulder we have the new alternate logo, a B.C. version of the Calgary Flames shoulder mark, the blue and white Edmonton Oilers colour scheme is leftover from the teams beginnings as the Kamloops Oilers. There is a slightly modified primary mark now on the chest, the “KAMLOOPS” wordmark which had been in white in the top corner of the “B” has been removed.
Overall, a great improvement by the Blazers. Well done.
