We’re only a few weeks into this young season, and the Miami Hurricanes have had an extremely interesting start to their uniform history with Adidas. They added to that interesting start by unveiling their “305 Ice” alternates in response to the Cincinnati Bearcats deciding to welcome the Hurricanes to town with a blackout.
As for how it looked on the field…well, good luck trying to make out silver-on-white from a distance.
Meanwhile, the most important question (important to me, at least) was this: Did they finally fix the nameplates? Well, as you can see in the featured image, it appears that they have indeed gone back to a “normal” block font for their names.
The nameplate is still a bit wonky and stretchy itself, but it’s Adidas. What can you do about that at this point? The point is that those weird letters that the Canes wore for their first few games are dead and gone. Now, they’ve got something that actually looks pretty decent. That’s a positive!
